A new EEGS Member Benefit: The online EEGS Research Collection and Access to SEG's Technical Program Expanded Abstracts

The complete Journal of Environmental and Engineering Geophysics (JEEG) and proceedings archives of the Symposium on the Application of Geophysics to Engineering and Environmental Problems (SAGEEP) are now available on EEGS' new online Research Collection through a publications portal on the Scitation platform operated by the American Institute of Physics.

EEGS members should already have received an e-mail with registration instructions. If not, (or you do not have an e-mail address on file at the EEGS business offices), please visit the registration site by clicking on the following Internet address:
http://scitation.aip.org/journals/doc/SCITATION/register/registration.jsp?society=EEGS&agreement=EEGS&acctno=11053043&passcode=66804&email=cbarry@aip.org

If your email software does not support hyperlinks, copy and paste the address above into your browser location. Then, select a username and password, read and agree to the user license and click the "Register" button. If you have any problems accessing your online subscription (e.g., requests for login information) please contact the Scitation Technical Support office at help@scitation.org, or by phone at 1.800.874.6383. For your reference, our Society account number is 2919.

Be sure your e-mail address is on file at the EEGS Business Office. E-mail is an important communication tool that EEGS uses to keep members apprised of important society announcements, developments and benefits of membership. Contact the business office by e-mailing staff@eegs.org or calling 303.531.7517.

Through a partnership between EEGS and the Society of Exploration Geophysicists (SEG), the online Research Collection has been made available to members through SEG's Digital Library (www.segdl.org). New and renewing members can access full-text articles for all 13 volumes of the JEEG, all 21 annual proceedings of SAGEEP plus the SEG Technical Program Expanded Abstracts within the EEGS Research Collection (www.segdl.org/eegsrc). The EEGS publications have been added to the Digital Cumulative Index, SEG's bibliographic database of applied geophysics literature published by five geoscience societies.

Institutions subscribing to JEEG in print can access to the online EEGS Research Collection for the duration of 2008 and will have the opportunity to add continuing access for 2009. Institutions subscribing to SEG publications have obtained access to the EEGS Research Collection for the remainder of 2008 and can maintain that level of access with an upgraded subscription for 2009.

Subscriptions to EEGS and SEG publications are available through AIP's Circulation and Fulfillment Service at 1.800.334.6908, 1.516.576.2270, or subs@aip.org. Rates are available at http://seg.org/publications/subscriptions.
